Talk about DIY boot animation issue

Many people like DIY the opening animation especially the original is bad. You can found many article on web talking about how to DIY. However, not everybody has success according. So, I just talk about some issues on it.

• The bootanimation.zip stoe in /system/media normally. You probably can found the original file here. Please make a copy before you change it.
• The compress ZIP format is not work on bootanimation. So, choice "Store only" format when you create the file.
• Someone may encounter the new create ZIP file cannot work properly. If in this case, try to modify original bootanimation by delete and add file inside. Ensure to use "Story only" format.
• File permission is doesn't care until you get problem. You can try to change it like the original file if getting problem.
• Bad bootanimation file may get black screen when you reboot the machine. So, better do the test before reboot. You can use the command "adb shell bootanimation" to test.

Make your Android tablet volume louder

Many people may encounter the sound volume too small issue especially on China made Android tablet. Someone may try to DIY by change the speaker but this not easy for general user. If you don't want to DIY. You can try this APP call "Volume+"

This APP was tested and work on my Onda V812 and it's very easy to setup.

Easy to get root on Onda V812

 Enable the root:

1. Download Onda_Allwinner_A31_root_v1_0.zip file and store it on SD card.
2. Start Onda update app.
3. Select local update and choice zip file in SD card.

Once start the local update. The tablet will reboot and enter recovery mode. An android robot will show on screen and root program is installing. After install the tablet will reboot again. Thats it.

Onda V812 get "Fel2Fes Error" on update

 
When you try to update the system from 1.2 to 1.32 firmware. Someone can easy to done but someone encounter "Fel2Fes Error" and fail to update.

The problem is caused by OTA function. This tablet like other manufactory to provide OTA update the system on air. Alternatively, you can update through the computer manually. Currently, Onda V812 still provide 1.2 firmware only for OTA. For 1.32 firmware, you only can do by using computer. Facing this problem if you did updated to 1.2 by OTA before. Update to 1.32 can been done if update 1.2 by using computer.

So, very simple to fix this problem by do again update 1.2 by using computer instead of OTA. Then you can update to 1.32 firmware.
